More than 12 People Injured in Bus Accident Near Quebec-Canada Border

Several individuals sustained injuries when a bus veered off the road and tipped onto its side close to the Canada-U.S. border in Quebec’s Eastern Townships area on Saturday night.

The Quebec provincial police reported that the bus was traveling along Route 133 when the driver lost control around 8:30 p.m. in Saint-Armand, Que., approximately 62 kilometers southeast of Montreal.

According to police spokesperson Frédéric Deshaies, most of the 40 passengers sustained minor injuries, but around fifteen individuals were admitted to hospitals.

Two of those hospitalized had more severe injuries, although their lives are not at risk.

Authorities mentioned that adverse weather and road conditions might have contributed to the accident.

The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
