Netanyahu Declares Israel’s Strike on Important Iranian Nuclear Facility is Public Knowledge

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu disclosed that an air strike on Iran targeted a specific component of Tehran’s nuclear program during his address in the Knesset. He mentioned that while he did not reveal the nature of the component, it would not impede Iran’s progress in developing a nuclear weapon.

The Israeli leader informed that the Iranian nuclear program’s capacity remains unaffected despite the recent attack according to The Times of Israel.

Although the attack delayed the program’s advancement, Netanyahu stressed that Iran’s enrichment efforts have continued and still require further development in multiple areas.

He emphasized the responsibility of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons falls upon Israel and its allies.

Netanyahu shared insights into previous air operations conducted by Israel, including the destruction of Russian-supplied defense systems near Tehran and the severe damage inflicted on Iran’s ballistic missile production capabilities in October.

He also highlighted ongoing tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States, pointing out the recent visit of the IAEA secretary general to key nuclear sites in Iran.

Last week, Axios reported that Israel bombed a purported secret nuclear facility in Iran, suggesting a strategic warning to the Iranian leadership.

Netanyahu’s remarks shed light on the complex dynamics of the Iranian nuclear standoff and the global efforts to uphold international agreements related to nuclear non-proliferation.
