Netanyahu Expresses Uncertainty Over Possible Hostage Deal Outcome
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated on Sunday that the outcome of current talks regarding a potential hostage deal was still uncertain. He declined to provide specific details but noted that Hamas, the Islamist terrorist group, needed to reach a more reasonable position.
In an interview with CBS News, Mr. Netanyahu mentioned that he would be meeting with his staff later that day to discuss a military plan involving the evacuation of Palestinian civilians in Gaza and an operation to eliminate remaining Hamas forces.
“If a deal is reached, there may be a delay, but it will eventually be implemented. If no agreement is reached, the operation will proceed regardless,” he explained to CBS.
