One Child Among Four Shot in Hackney Attack
Four individuals, including three adults and a child, were hospitalized following a gun-related incident in London, near a restaurant in Hackney, East London on Wednesday evening.
The child is in serious condition, and the adults’ conditions are also being monitored, as stated by Metropolitan Police on Thursday.
All four individuals suffered gunshot wounds and were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police, along with specialized firearms officers and the London Ambulance Service, responded to the incident on Kingsland High Street around 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Metropolitan Police is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and no arrests have been made yet.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Matt Ward expressed, “We know Londoners will be shocked by what took place last night,” in a statement.
London Ambulance Service deployed various medical resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, advanced paramedics, and a trauma team from London Air Ambulance.
