Ontario and Nova Scotia to Brace for Winter Storm, Prairies Experience Extreme Cold
Expect more wintery conditions in areas north and southwest of Toronto.
An extreme cold warning has been issued by Environment Canada for communities in the peninsula southwest of Toronto, with wind chills reaching around minus 30.
North of Toronto, a snow squall warning has been issued, with communities expecting anywhere from 15 to 70 centimeters of snow.
Nova Scotia is also under wind warnings, with westerly winds gusting around 90 kilometers per hour expected across much of the province.
Extreme cold warnings have been issued for all of Saskatchewan, as well as parts of Alberta and Manitoba on the Prairies.
Wind chills around minus 40 are predicted in these provinces, with Environment Canada warning that temperatures could drop even lower in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
