PM Working to Obtain Poilievre’s List of Conservatives Connected to Foreign Interference

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has instructed national security services to find a way to share information with Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre regarding foreign interference affecting his caucus.

Earlier this month, Trudeau stated in a public inquiry that he has been provided with the names of past and present Conservative parliamentarians and candidates who have connections to foreign interference.

Trudeau also mentioned that other party members, including Liberals, have also been identified as flagged individuals.

During today’s session in the House of Commons, while responding to a question from Poilievre, Trudeau expressed his efforts in ensuring that the Opposition leader receives more information.

Trudeau mentioned that security officials may even be able to disclose some names of Conservative parliamentarians and party members who are either involved in or vulnerable to foreign meddling.

Despite calls from all other party leaders, Poilievre has declined to obtain top-level security clearance, arguing that it would hinder his ability to publicly hold the government accountable.
