Police in London Launch Manhunt for Gunman After Two Killed

Police in London are searching for a gunman who shot dead two men and critically injured a third in an incident in Ilford in the early hours of Tuesday.

The Metropolitan Police said police were called to Henley Road in Ilford, in east London, just after midnight after residents called 999 and said shots had been fired during a fight in the street.

Three men were found lying in the street, with gunshot injuries.

One man in his 20s was already dead while a second man died a short time later.

The third victim, who was in his 30s, was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

The Met said work was under way on identifying the victims but no arrests have been made and the investigation is in its early stages.

Killings may be linked to drill gangs

While there has been no official confirmation, The Epoch Times understands the incident may be related to rivalry between drill gangs in east London.

Shootings are relatively rare in Britain and there have only been three gun murders in London this year, prior to Tuesday’s incident.

In September, Maximillian Kusi-Owusu, 29, a rapper known as M Lo, was shot dead in Kensington High Street. That case remains unsolved.

Kacey Boothe, 25, was shot dead in Walthamstow, north east London, in August. Several people have been charged with his murder.

In July, Sam Brown, 28, was shot dead at a party in Cheney Row Park, Walthamstow.
