Polish Leaders to Meet with Biden to Discuss Ukraine’s Possible NATO Membership
Polish Foreign Minister stated, “The presence of NATO forces in Ukraine is not unthinkable.”
President Joe Biden will welcome Poland’s President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the White House on March 12 in preparation for the upcoming NATO Summit, discussing potential admission of other countries, including Ukraine, to the Alliance.
President Duda indicated during his visit to NATO’s Steadfast Defender 2024 exercise in Poland that discussions with President Biden would also cover potential Alliance expansion, including Ukraine’s accession and Polish arms procurement from the US.
Poland’s Foreign Minister emphasized the need for support to Ukraine in its path towards NATO membership, drawing parallels to Poland’s journey into the Alliance.
