Princess of Wales Resumes Public Duties at Trooping the Colour Ceremony
Kate and her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, received a warm reception from the crowds on The Mall.
The Princess of Wales made a triumphant comeback to public life while undergoing cancer treatment and joined the royal family to commemorate the king’s official birthday.
Cheered on by spectators on The Mall, Kate and her children departed Buckingham Palace in a carriage procession for the Trooping the Colour ceremony.
Despite grappling with her diagnosis and undergoing chemotherapy, the future queen appeared at ease as she rode through London in the glass state coach with her family.
Her presence had been in question after missing the final Trooping rehearsal, but with King Charles also battling cancer, the display of military grandeur became a symbolic gesture of strength by the monarchy.
She was accompanied by various family members, including her husband the Prince of Wales, the Princess Royal, and the Duke of Edinburgh.
The king, due to his illness, rode in a carriage alongside the queen, departing from the usual horse-mounted inspection of officers and guardsmen on Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall.

Kate shared in a statement on Friday that she’s making “good progress” with her treatment but admitted to having “good days and bad days.” She expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from the public, which has been a source of strength during challenging times.
The royal party proceeded through crowds as they made their way from The Mall to Horse Guards Parade, accompanied by various other members of the royal family.
Apart from Kate, who watched the parade from a different location this year, Charles led the regiments of the Household Division in the ceremony to mark his official birthday.
The elaborate military display, known as the Birthday Parade, involved over 1,250 soldiers and highlighted the military tradition cherished by the monarchy.
The event included the trooping of the King’s Colour of number 9 company, Irish Guards, alongside the inspection of guardsmen performing ceremonial duties.
This year, soldiers on parade were allowed to have beards, marking a departure from tradition that dates back over a century.
