Quebec Man Arrested by RCMP for 3D Printing Guns and Inciting Hatred Against Jews

On June 14, the RCMP announced the arrest of a Quebec man for charges related to hate speech and the 3D printing of firearms.

Authorities reported the seizure of a significant number of 3D printers and a homemade firearm from 37-year-old Pascal Tribout of Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, located approximately 40 kilometers northwest of Montreal.

According to a police news release on the same day, Mr. Tribout allegedly made derogatory comments targeting the Jewish community on the social media platform Telegram.

He is currently facing five charges, including weapons trafficking, promoting hatred, possessing a prohibited firearm, and possessing and distributing data that could be used to create firearms with a 3D printer.

The operation was conducted by the RCMP’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team.
