Rally Gains Momentum in Defiance of Communist China
Before leaving China, Chen Weijie enjoyed writing one particular message more than any other.
Through his pen, he left the words “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance is good” on various surfaces like rocks, trees, and chairs.
Although he himself doesn’t practice Falun Gong, the faith known for the values mentioned above, he believed it was the right thing to do and much needed in the face of the Chinese Communist Party’s efforts to wipe it out over the past 25 years.
He expressed his defiance towards the regime by writing these words, even though it put him at risk of arrest and torture.
At a rally commemorating the 25th anniversary of a peaceful appeal by Falun Gong practitioners in Beijing, Mr. Chen stated his commitment to do things that the CCP fears the most, as it is the biggest crime syndicate in the world in his eyes.
He was one of many speakers at the event, which also celebrated the Tuidang movement aimed at creating a separation between the Chinese people and the regime by withdrawing from CCP-affiliated organizations.
Practitioners of Falun Gong have been actively promoting this movement in China, distributing materials and a book called “Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party” that exposes the nature of the CCP and its atrocities.
The rally garnered support from activists and freedom advocates, who praised the courage and strength of the Falun Gong adherents.
Many like Martha Flores-Vazquez and Cecilia Crowley hailed those who withdrew from the CCP as warriors peacefully fighting against tyranny.
Mr. Gong Kai shared how the software developed by Falun Gong practitioners helped him see beyond China’s internet censorship, leading him to renounce Communist Youth League activities and Party ideology classes.
There was a strong sentiment at the rally against the oppressive influence of the CCP, with calls to push back against the regime and its oppressive tactics.
