RCMP Officer in Alberta Charged with Sexual Assault Following Hotel Party
A female RCMP officer from Alberta has been charged with sexual assault in connection with a 2022 hotel room party.

The incident was alleged to have occurred in the early hours of Dec. 3, 2022, in an Airdrie hotel room while a group of people were socializing, the press release said.
The investigation was forwarded to the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service (ACPS) to determine whether the evidence met the standard for prosecution.
“Following a review of the investigation and having been advised by the ACPS that the evidence met their standard for prosecution, ASIRT Assistant Executive Director Matthew Block determined that the involved officer should be charged,” the police watchdog said.
Const. Bridget Morla has been charged with two counts of sexual assault in connection with the investigation.
She has been released on the condition that she appear in court on Dec. 12.
ASIRT said no further information would be released because the matter is before the courts.
