RCMP Utilizes Black Hawk HelNcopter for Border Patrol in Security Operation along BC-US Border

The RCMP in British Columbia is now utilizing a Black Hawk helicopter to patrol the United States border in efforts to combat smuggling and illegal border crossings.

Authorities assure the public that there is no need for alarm when seeing or hearing the new Black Hawk aircraft in action along the borders with Washington, Idaho, and Montana.

The helicopter will focus on intercepting human smuggling, drug trafficking, contraband activities, and individuals crossing the border unlawfully.

Superintendent Bert Ferreira, who is in charge of border integrity, emphasizes that both sides of the border are well secured.

The Black Hawk helicopter is part of a broader $1.3 billion federal government initiative to enhance border security through the deployment of helicopters, drones, and nearly 10,000 front-line personnel.

U.S. President Donald Trump has linked border security concerns to the threatened 25% tariffs on Canadian goods, currently postponed until March.
