Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer engaged in discussions with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump ahead of the upcoming U.S. election on Nov. 5.
Starmer emphasized the importance of establishing personal relationships on the global stage, prompting his meeting with Trump at Trump Tower in New York City.
Despite aiming to meet both presidential candidates, Starmer could not arrange a similar meeting with Democratic candidate Kamala Harris due to scheduling conflicts.
While in New York for the UN General Assembly, Starmer emphasized the UK’s commitment to “responsible global leadership” in his speech.
