Australian audiences shared their thoughts post-viewing of the New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts.

Shen Yun Performing Arts, headquartered in New York, recently concluded its tour of Australia with sold-out shows throughout the nation.

In every city, viewers raved about the performance, deeming it uplifting and a unique experience.

The two-hour spectacle covered 5,000 years of culture, tradition, and identity, distinctly different from modern China under communist rule.

“Absolutely wonderful. I’ve just been spellbound by the beauty of this presentation. It is incredible,” remarked Imelda Roche, the founder of Nutrimetics beauty products and the Roche Group property development firm.

“There is a lot of spirituality in the messages that come through from the presentation… everything about it is so well coordinated.”

Roche, after attending the show in Sydney, particularly admired Shen Yun’s use of interactive backdrops that dancers interacted with.

“The technology that’s been applied to have somebody in physical form transformed onto a screen and then up into the heavens—it’s absolutely amazing,” she expressed.

‘Really Important to Understand’: Village Roadshow President

Lynne Benzie, the president of Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast, where numerous Hollywood blockbusters have been filmed, shared her perspective on the significance of performing arts.

“Performing arts is very, very important, [not only] to the local community in Australia, but worldwide,” she stated.

“To get the opportunity for people to see this culture—I think it is really, really important to understand it and what it means to many, many people.”

Benzie added, “For me, it was amazing to see and appreciate the culture and what it gives to the community as well. Because different societies look at different ways, so it’s very special to see.”
