Three People Stabbed Following Car Collision in South Sydney
A police officer and two individuals were stabbed at the scene of a two-car collision on a major southern Sydney highway.
The crash occurred around 9 a.m. in Engadine on Sunday, prompting police to quickly respond and find an injured man fleeing from the scene.
“Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command arrived to discover a man—appearing to have stab wounds—allegedly running away from the crash site,” stated the authorities.
The male officer sustained a serious laceration to his left wrist during the arrest.
Additionally, a woman, believed to be a passenger in one of the involved vehicles, was discovered with multiple stab wounds.

A fourth individual was also discovered injured, and their connection to the incident was not immediately clear.
All four individuals were receiving medical attention from paramedics.
A section of the Princes Highway stretching five kilometers was shut down in both directions.
Cronulla Sharks NRL club Chairman Steve Mace recounted encountering the armed man at the crash site while en route to his son’s junior football game.
Mace described the woman’s injuries as being to her neck, chest, and stomach.
“The police tasered him,” he said of the suspect.
“Somehow he raced up the hill … that’s when I learned a police officer was stabbed … there was a significant amount of blood everywhere.”
