Top-Rated Neighbourhoods in Canada: Canadians Rate Livability

A recent survey revealed that the majority of Canadians have a deep appreciation for their neighbourhoods. The survey, commissioned by RE/MAX and conducted by Leger, also ranked areas based on liveability across the country.

He further added, “By reassessing design, relevant government policies, and zoning bylaws in existing and new neighbourhoods, we can establish a more effective and comprehensive national housing strategy that promotes long-term liveability and increased affordability for Canadians.”

The survey also found that nearly a quarter of respondents believed that the liveability of their neighbourhoods would improve in the coming years, while 55 percent expected it to remain the same. Fifteen percent anticipated a decline in liveability over the next five years.

The survey ranked neighbourhoods in Canada’s 20 largest cities based on their liveability, with areas in the Prairies and Ontario emerging as top contenders. Here are the most liveable neighbourhoods in Canada as per the survey results:
