Which American Goods Will Feel the Effects of Canada’s Retaliatory Tariffs?
Commencing on Feb. 4, a set of tariffs will be implemented on $30 billion worth of goods sourced from the United States. These goods range from poultry, meat, dairy products like yogurt and whey, eggs, to various crops like vegetables, fruits, wheat, and barley.
Furthermore, the tariff will extend to various alcohol types such as wine, beer, cider, and mead, alongside tobacco products like cigars, cigarettes, tobacco refuse, and other nicotine-containing products.
Other goods that will be impacted include specific firearms like sporting shotguns and rifles, as well as spring, air, or gas guns; truncheons; and munitions like bombs, grenades, missiles, mines, and ammunition.
Additionally, the tariff will encompass clothing, footwear, makeup, a variety of lumber and wood products, diamonds, silver, platinum, machinery, motorcycles, and drones.
These measures will persist until the United States lifts its tariffs on Canadian products, as per the Department of Finance.
