Woman Accused of Posting Video of Prison Officer Engaging in Sexual Activity with Inmate in Cell
A woman is facing charges of misconduct in public office after a video allegedly showing a prison officer engaging in sexual activity with an inmate surfaced on social media, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30, from Fulham in south-west London, has been accused of the offense and is currently in custody. She is due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The police launched an investigation after being alerted to the video that was reportedly filmed inside HMP Wandsworth. An arrest was made on the same day the video came to light, with De Sousa Abreu being charged the following day, the police stated.
