X-Ray Reveals Crucifix Lodged in Throat of 10-Month-Old Peruvian Child Causes Shock
A mother was terrified when she discovered that her child had swallowed a crucifix. Fortunately, medical staff in Peru successfully removed the crucifix on Nov. 11.
X-ray images show the crucifix lodged in the 10-month-old child’s esophagus.
The child received treatment at the Victor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital in La Libertad, where she underwent an endoscopy to remove the foreign object.
