YouTube has censored a barrister for speaking out about vaccine injured and bereaved individuals, an inquiry has been informed.

Module 4 of the COVID Inquiry is currently investigating COVID-19 vaccines and other drugs, with upcoming testimony from former Health Secretary Matt Hancock.

A senior barrister, Anna Morris, KC, revealed during the UK COVID Inquiry’s Module 4 opening that YouTube had removed a video featuring her legal submissions on behalf of vaccine-injured individuals and families.

Morris highlighted the challenges faced by those affected by vaccines and emphasized the need to address stigma and censorship, noting that doctors were discouraged from sharing concerns publicly.

In a poll, 74% of members from a vaccine injury support group reported being censored on social media when discussing vaccines.

Despite the initial removal, the video has since been reinstated on YouTube.

‘An Uncomfortable Truth’

Morris represented several support groups and emphasized that vaccine injuries and deaths are a significant aspect of the pandemic’s impact.

She called on the inquiry to investigate if political pressure influenced vaccine safety assessments and if alternative treatments were overlooked.

Morris raised concerns about the public pressure to receive vaccines and questioned the prevailing narrative to “follow the science.”

During the session, the inquiry viewed a video showing individuals who experienced serious side effects from vaccination, which health officials consider rare.

‘False Narratives’

Hugo Keith, KC, lead counsel for the inquiry, warned against misinformation regarding vaccines and urged the protection of public health’s vital role in vaccination.

Keith addressed the emergence of false narratives during the pandemic and emphasized the importance of trust in government and medical professionals.

The inquiry aims to evaluate the overall public health benefits of mass vaccination and assess whether the risks outweigh the benefits for certain individuals.

Later in the week, the inquiry will hear from Matt Hancock and Professor Heidi Larson, focusing on vaccines by Pfizer Biontech, Moderna, and AstraZeneca.

The inquiry, which will continue until January, will also examine other drugs used in COVID-19 treatment and assess the government’s vaccine damage payment scheme.
