Haley will not receive additional donations from billionaire Dem Hoffman
Billionaire Reid Hoffman has decided not to donate additional funds to Nikki Haley’s presidential campaign, as confirmed by a source familiar with his decision speaking to CNBC.
Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn and a prominent Democratic donor, had previously contributed $250,000 to a super PAC supporting Haley last month.
His motivation for the donation was his concerns about the potential for former President Donald Trump to return to the GOP ballot for the 2024 election.
“One of the problems we have in the 2024 election is that we’re going to have a candidate who’s going to be running on the 2020 election was essentially fraudulent, which is kind of the equivalent of a big lie,” Hoffman stated in an interview with Barron’s in early December.
Hoffman went on to express his support for Haley, acknowledging that while they may have differing policies, she is an American institutionalist who believes in democracy and the rule of law.
Following Trump’s victory in New Hampshire’s Republican presidential contest, Haley remained determined, vowing to continue her campaign and challenging Trump to a debate.
