Morrisey and Justice in the Lead in West Virginia GOP Primaries for Gubernatorial and Senate Races
The latest poll released by WOWK-TV/Emerson shows that the top candidates in the race for the Republican nominations for both West Virginia governor and senator are leading by wide margins.
Attorney General Patrick Morrisey is currently ahead in the race for the Republican candidate for governor with 54% support. Chris Miller is trailing with only 16.2% support, followed by Moore Capito at 14.4%. Mac Warner has the backing of 6.2% of respondents in the poll.
However, nearly 29% of voters are still undecided, according to the poll conducted from March 19-21.
In the West Virginia race for the GOP candidate for U.S. Senate, Governor Jim Justice leads with 54% support, while U.S. House Rep. Alex Mooney is in second place with 16.7% support.
22% of voters are undecided in the Republican primary for senator, which will take place on May 14.
