Wisconsin’s Supreme Court has appeared primed to overturn a critical election decision, reinstating ballot drop boxes ahead of the election in November.

On Monday, the state’s highest court heard oral arguments over whether to uphold or overturn a previous halt on the practice.

State justices put a stop to the practice in 2022, when the court had a conservative majority.

Justice Rebecca Bradley argued against overturning the decision, saying the plaintiffs are requesting the court act as a “super-legislature” and overrule lawmaker’s decisions.

Wisconsin is anticipated to be a critical swing state in the general election.

Project FiveThirtyEight polling has Trump currently holding a razor-thin lead over Biden in the state.
