North Dakota Governor Burgum: Biden is ‘Weak,’ Trump is ‘Strong’

Americans are expressing significant concerns regarding President Joe Biden’s “capacity,” with the upcoming election expected to highlight the contrast in strength between former President Donald Trump and a perceived “weak” Biden, according to North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum on Sunday.

During an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” Burgum, who has been considered a potential vice presidential candidate, lauded Trump’s resistance against China.

“The nation is apprehensive about [Biden’s] capability not just during a debate but on a daily basis. This will be a central focus of the upcoming election,” Burgum stated.

“President Trump demonstrates strength, while Joe Biden appears weak. This is a consistent observation regardless of the issue at hand.”

Burgum criticized Biden’s recent announcement of tariffs on China, labeling them as “extremely feeble.”

“These tariffs were merely a way to garner support from union voters he’s pursuing. In contrast, President Trump was instrumental in raising awareness in America about the dangerous threat posed by China,” the governor remarked.

Burgum also condemned Biden for initially pledging to eliminate tariffs if elected, only to later claim he would implement additional tariffs as a show of strength against China.

“Joe Biden is prioritizing industries that align with his voter base,” Burgum asserted.

Trump has consistently emphasized that a running mate alone does not secure victory in an election, stressing the importance of selecting a candidate capable of succeeding as president. Burgum is seen as a potential candidate who could appeal to moderate voters in the upcoming election.

As one of the earliest former presidential primary candidates for 2024 to endorse Trump, Burgum joined him on the campaign trail in key primary states, earning praise for his leadership in North Dakota, particularly in the energy sector.
