Representative Tiffany tells Newsmax that President Biden refuses to take responsibility

Representative Tom Tiffany, R-Wisconsin, expressed to Newsmax that President Joe Biden’s recent executive order regarding the U.S. southern border effectively legalizes illegal immigration.

“There are numerous loopholes in this executive order,” Tiffany stated on “American Agenda.”

Biden’s executive order, issued on Tuesday, prohibits migrants from seeking asylum when U.S. officials determine that the border is overwhelmed. This action is likely to result in the closure of a significant portion of the nation’s southern border at midnight.

“The minimum number specified is 2,500, with action to be taken accordingly,” Tiffany remarked. “This could potentially lead to almost a million individuals crossing the border.”

Tiffany referenced former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, who once deemed 1,000 individuals entering the border daily as an emergency situation.

Tiffany criticized Biden for attributing the failure of border legislation in the Senate to former President Donald Trump.

“Will Joe Biden ever take accountability for anything?” Tiffany questioned. “His weak foreign policy, inflation, and the border crisis. He refuses to accept responsibility. This is why he is failing and will continue to do so in 2024.”

Tiffany clarified that Trump did not alter his stance on the border bill that was unsuccessful in the Senate.

“The Senate bill was inadequate,” Tiffany stated. “Termed as bipartisan, why did it not pass? It didn’t even garner a voting opportunity in the U.S. Senate.”

Tiffany highlighted that an immigration bill, HR 2, was approved by the House over a year ago but has not been brought to a vote in the Senate.

“Joe Biden wants to lecture the Senate about passing this bill, enforcing the law, and securing the border,” Tiffany added. “However, Joe Biden consistently deflects blame. He refuses to acknowledge the havoc he has caused in America.”
