White House Considering Potential Commutation for Hunter’s Sentence, Reports One America News Network

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that the Biden administration would not rule out a potential presidential commutation for whatever sentence Hunter Biden receives.

The White House has ruled out a pardon, according to the president, but the press secretary indicated a presidential commutation may be on the table during a press gaggle on Wednesday.
“As we all know, the sentencing hasn’t even been scheduled yet,” Jean-Pierre said. “He was very clear, very upfront, obviously very definitive,” Jean-Pierre said of the president’s remarks about a potential pardon. But on a commutation, “I just don’t have anything beyond that.”
Jean-Pierre claimed that she hasn’t spoken to President Biden since the verdict was announced.
A jury found the first son guilty of three felonies on Tuesday, all tied to the purchase and possession of a gun while actively using narcotics.
After the trial, President Biden said that he accepted his son’s verdict, expressing that he would “continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal.”
A sentencing date has yet to be arranged.
Meanwhile, Hunter’s second trial involving purported tax fraud is scheduled to begin in California this September.
He’s accused of not paying $1.4 million in taxes from the years 2016 to 2019.
