Kamala Harris may be turning to Joe Rogan for a last-ditch effort
Kamala Harris’ campaign is in a state of panic: Either her team is incompetent, or they have realized it is time for a last-ditch effort.
She has agreed to an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, marking the first time she has agreed to speak with a journalist from a right-leaning outlet as the Democratic nominee — and this comes after even CBS’s attempts couldn’t salvage her image from looking dreadful in a friendly yet professional interview with Bill Whitaker.

Furthermore, she is reportedly in discussions to appear on Joe Rogan’s highly popular podcast, which has a predominantly male (and conservative) audience — and these interviews usually last for hours.
For most candidates, neither move would be remarkable: Donald Trump has been participating in interviews with opposing, even hostile, interviewers since the beginning of his campaign.
However, Harris’ team has kept her mainly to scripted rallies and sitdowns with sympathetic alternative media outlets who ask easy questions with minimal follow-ups.
It’s not surprising given that, whenever she goes off-script or faces tough questions, she often responds with complete nonsense, like her recent baffling comments about “constellations” in reaction to a question on crime from Black Star Network host Roland Martin.
Additionally, her
disclosure on “The View” that she wouldn’t have done things differently from Joe Biden over the past four years.
It seems like she and her team have acknowledged that she is headed towards defeat and that they need to take some bold risks to change the course of the campaign.
Perhaps they have seen troubling results from internal polling, while public polls indicate a race that is essentially tied, but with a shift in favor of Trump as we approach the final weeks.
Moreover, early voting, which typically benefits Democrats, is down 45% compared to the same point in 2020 — and Trump holds a slight lead among early voters in swing states, according to a recent Harvard CAPS/Harris poll.
She is losing support among demographics that Democrats traditionally maintained a stronghold on, including black men and Hispanics.
It might be more accurate to say that Trump is gaining support from these demographics, who are frustrated with the weak economy, high inflation, lax border control, and rising crime under the Harris-Biden administration.
After all, Harris’ policies in these areas are anything but “change for the better,” despite her claims to deeply care about each issue (similar to Biden).
If interpreted correctly, Harris is wise to risk tough interviews on challenging platforms: She might stumble, but if she can rise to the occasion, she could win over the voters she needs to secure victory.
All the fluff with Steven Colbert and similar shows won’t achieve that.
