Barron Trump, 18, to Enter the Political Arena
Florida’s Republican Party chairman announced that Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump, has been selected as a delegate to the Republican National Convention. He will be one of the at-large delegates from Florida, joining 40 others at the convention where his father is expected to be officially nominated as the GOP’s presidential candidate for the upcoming general election. The news was first reported by NBC News.
Barron Trump, who recently turned 18 and is graduating from high school next week, has mostly remained out of the public eye. The judge presiding over Donald Trump’s ongoing trial in New York scheduled no court proceedings on May 17 so that Trump could attend his son’s graduation.
In addition to Barron, other members of the Trump family including Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Tiffany Trump, are part of the Florida delegation to the convention, which will take place in Milwaukee from July 15 to July 18.
“We are privileged to have a strong team of grassroots leaders, elected officials, and Trump family members representing the Florida delegation at the 2024 Republican National Convention,” said Chairman Power in a statement.
