Bernie Moreno Calls Dem Sen. Sherrod Brown ‘a Total Fraud’ in Interview with Newsmax

Ohio, a once crucial battleground state and presidential bellwether, has shifted from purple to red since the rise of Donald Trump, and Ohio GOP Senate candidate Bernie Moreno, endorsed by Trump, aims to end Democrat Sen. Sherrod Brown’s tenure, as reported by Newsmax.

“Sherrod Brown has been in 11 statewide races – he started his political career when Richard Nixon was in the White House – but despite his long tenure, he has failed to deliver for Ohio,” Moreno stated on “America Right Now.” “We have lost 200,000 manufacturing jobs since he has been in Washington, D.C.

“He is a complete fraud. I have spent my career in business and never imagined running for office, but individuals like Sherrod Brown need to be replaced. We need fresh leadership in D.C.”

Democrats have poured significant resources into supporting Brown’s campaign to hold onto power with the Senate majority hanging by a thread.

“In just three months, more money was spent attacking me than in 12 years against Sherrod Brown,” Moreno cautioned, highlighting the support from wealthy Democrats for Brown in the now predominantly red state of Ohio. “The narrative was set from the beginning.

“False claims about me wanting to ban abortion or eliminate social security are distractions from the fact that Brown, after three decades in D.C., has achieved nothing and led to the loss of 200,000 manufacturing jobs.”

Brown, an advocate for open borders, has contributed to Ohio’s drug crisis by endorsing mass illegal migration.

“Sherrod Brown dismissed border security as a right-wing conspiracy theory and voted against every border security measure,” Moreno claimed. “He even voted against Kate’s Law citing cruelty, showcasing his hypocrisy.

“I propose reforming asylum laws to immediately return individuals crossing the border without valid asylum claims. They must wait in the previous country until their case is heard.”

Moreno also advocates for declaring Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations to address the fentanyl crisis in Ohio.

“We must dismantle drug cartels by labeling them as foreign terrorist organizations, a step Brown refuses to take,” Moreno noted. “He is misguided on border security.

“As a legal immigrant, I understand the importance of legal immigration and the need to clamp down on illegal immigration.”

Ultimately, the Ohio Senate race, expected to be fiercely contested, will revolve around the money of Ohio voters rather than wealthy donors backing the Democratic Party, according to Moreno.

“The working class is outraged by the misuse of taxpayer dollars when basic amenities are expensive, and billions are sent to foreign countries,” Moreno emphasized. “There is a perception that illegal immigrants are prioritized over veterans.

“This sentiment, along with a focus on putting America first, is why supporters of President Trump resonate with me – they want to restore America’s greatness.”
