Biden and Obama Collaborate with Kimmel and Clooney for L.A. Event

President Joe Biden made the decision to prioritize attending a Hollywood fundraising event in June over a Ukraine peace summit in Switzerland.

Biden, along with former President Barack Obama, is set to attend a Los Angeles fundraiser for the 2024 reelection campaign on June 15, as reported by Deadline.

Meanwhile, representatives from over 50 countries will be convening in the Swiss city of Lucerne for talks that are likely to address the risks associated with Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, as noted by Newsmax.

The Hollywood fundraiser will feature late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel moderating a conversation with Biden and Obama.

Biden previously appeared on Kimmel’s show in 2022.

Notable attendees expected at the event include actors George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

Tickets for the Los Angeles event range from $250 to $500,000 for an “event chair” listing, which includes special privileges such as photo line access and a reception and after-party.

The proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Biden Victory Fund, a joint committee of the Biden campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and state parties.
