Biden Set to Visit New Orleans on Monday Following Terror Attack – One America News Network

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are scheduled to visit New Orleans next week to connect with those affected by the New Year’s Day terror attack on Bourbon Street.

On Friday, the White House confirmed their upcoming trip to Louisiana.
“On Monday, January 6, the President and First Lady will travel to New Orleans, Louisiana. They will mourn with the families and community members affected by the tragic events of January 1 and will meet with local officials,” the White House stated.
No further information was provided regarding their specific locations or whom they would meet during the visit.
This announcement follows Biden’s earlier public remarks addressing the terrorist incident.
“To the families of those who lost their lives, to those who were injured, and to all the people in New Orleans who are grieving today, I stand with you in your sorrow. Our nation stands with you. We will support you as you mourn and heal in the days ahead,” Biden stated on Thursday.
“New Orleans is truly one of a kind. It is a city full of charm and joy,” he added. “People around the globe are enamored with New Orleans for its rich history, vibrant culture, and, above all, its remarkable people. Even though a terrible act was committed against this city, I am confident that the spirit of New Orleans will never, ever be extinguished. It will continue to shine brightly.”
