Biden States Gaza Conflict Does Not Constitute Genocide

President Joe Biden stood firmly in support of Israel on Monday, refuting claims of genocide by stating that Israeli forces are not committing such acts in their current military operations against Hamas militants in Gaza. This comes as a response to criticism from pro-Palestinian protesters.

During a Jewish American Heritage Month event at the White House, Biden declared, “What’s happening in Gaza is not genocide. We reject that notion.”

Pro-Palestinian advocates have protested against Biden’s stance on Israel, labeling him “Genocide Joe.” Despite this, Biden reiterated his belief that Israel has been a victim since the October 7 attack by Hamas militants in southern Israel, which resulted in the death of 1,200 people and the taking of hostages.

Biden emphasized that U.S. support for Israeli safety and security is unwavering. He stated, “We stand with Israel to defeat Hamas and ensure the safety of Israelis.”

While negotiations between Israel and Hamas for the release of sick, elderly, and wounded hostages have stalled, Biden remains committed to achieving their freedom. He stated, “We’re determined to bring them home, no matter the obstacles.”

In addition to calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during his commencement speech at Morehouse College, Biden also dismissed the International Criminal Court’s prosecutor’s request for arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his defense chief over alleged war crimes.

The ICC prosecutor also sought arrest warrants for Hamas leader Sinwar and two other Hamas leaders. As Biden faces increasing pressure within his own party regarding his handling of the Gaza conflict, he remains steadfast in his support for Israel and commitment to resolving the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
