Biden’s Speech Leads to Record Fundraising Success

The reelection campaign for President Joe Biden announced on Friday a record-breaking fundraising boost following his State of the Union address on Thursday.

The amount raised exceeded all previous days since Biden declared his reelection nearly a year ago. The 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. hour was the most successful time slot of the evening, and the daily fundraising record was broken during the 10 p.m. hour, according to the campaign.

“Thanks to the unprecedented grassroots support we received this month, we will significantly expand our volunteer engagement, increase our battleground staff, launch coalition groups, and invest in new paid media campaigns,” mentioned Biden’s campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez in a statement to reporters on Friday.

Chavez stated that Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are planning to visit every swing state in the upcoming week, with Biden going to Pennsylvania and Harris visiting Arizona on Friday.

“We firmly believe that this race will be won on the ground, within key states crucial to our various paths to 270 electoral votes,” Chavez Rodriguez said. “And all our initiatives this month to launch the general election are based on that principle.”

As the Trump vs. Biden rematch appears inevitable, both candidates have increased their attacks. During Thursday night’s address, Biden did not mention Trump by name.

“My predecessor came to office determined to see Roe v. Wade overturned,” Biden stated. “He’s the reason it was overturned. And he brags about it. Look at the chaos that has resulted.”

Meanwhile, Trump provided a detailed critique of Biden’s speech on his Truth Social account.

“That may be the angriest, least compassionate, and worst State of the Union speech ever made,” Trump remarked. “It was an embarrassment to our country!”

At the latest count, Biden was outpacing Trump by nearly a two-to-one margin, based on filings, with Trump raising $8.8 million in the first month of the election year and Biden securing $15 million.
