Caitlyn Jenner Affirms Easter Message: ‘He Is Risen’

President Joe Biden’s recent declaration of Easter Sunday as the “Transgender Day of Visibility” has sparked controversy among Christian conservatives in America, prompting a response from prominent transgender figure Caitlyn Jenner.

Caitlyn Jenner expressed her disapproval, stating, “I am absolutely disgusted that Joe Biden has declared the most Holy of Holy days – a self-proclaimed devout Catholic – as Transgender Day of Visibility. The only thing you should be declaring on this day is ‘HE is Risen.'”

The observance of “Transgender Day of Visibility” on March 31 has been in place since 2009 under President Barack Obama. However, critics, including the Trump campaign, conservatives, and Republicans, argue that Biden’s proclamation was unnecessary and disrespectful to religious beliefs.

Biden’s statement, issued on Friday, proclaimed March 31, 2024, as the Transgender Day of Visibility and called for the recognition and support of transgender individuals in the country.

Despite the intention to promote unity, Biden’s proclamation has only widened the divide and stirred anger among conservatives and Christians for not acknowledging Easter Sunday or Jesus’ resurrection.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defended the administration’s stance, honoring the courage and contributions of transgender Americans and emphasizing the commitment to equality and respect for all individuals.

Caitlyn Jenner further criticized the administration’s handling of the situation, highlighting the significance of Easter Sunday as a religious observance practiced by billions of people worldwide.
