DeSantis Debate Strategies: ‘Strongly Oppose Vivek,’ ‘Support Trump Defense’
Documents outlining debate strategies and intelligence for Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis were posted online by the pro-DeSantis PAC Never Back Down. The documents advise attacking Joe Biden and the media multiple times, defending Donald Trump, and targeting Vivek Ramaswamy. The release of the documents online is believed to be due to the PAC’s desire to have public access without violating campaign finance laws. Notably, the documents do not include a debate opposition file for former President Donald Trump. The strategy also includes references to “Roger Ailes’ Orchestra Pit Theory” and utilizes Trump-esque strategies. A spokesperson for the DeSantis campaign declined to comment.
