Dick Morris tells Newsmax that the optics of the fundraiser are not good for Biden

Presidential campaign adviser Dick Morris expressed his concerns to Newsmax about the timing of President Joe Biden’s fundraiser on the same day as the wake for a fallen New York City police officer, calling it “insanity.”

In an interview on “Greg Kelly Reports”, Morris discussed Biden’s fundraiser against the backdrop of former President Donald Trump attending the wake of Jonathan Diller, a police officer killed in the line of duty.

Morris highlighted the irony of holding the fundraiser while the case was still being investigated, especially considering that the suspect had a lengthy criminal history and had been released multiple times under the New York bail law supported by Biden.

The suspect, Guy Rivera, had been arrested 21 times before and was on parole until last year after a drug conviction. He is currently being held without bail.

Despite the controversy surrounding the timing of the fundraiser, Biden, along with former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, attended the event at Radio City Music Hall, which raised $25 million for Biden’s reelection campaign.
