Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley Becomes a Member of Conservative Think Tank Hudson Institute
Conservative foreign policy think tank the Hudson Institute announced on Monday that former Republican presidential candidate and U.S. ambassador Nikki Haley has joined their team.
Haley has been named the Walter P. Stern Chair, making her the fourth former member of President Donald Trump’s administration to join Hudson. She served as U.S. Ambassador under Trump from January 2017 to December 2018.
In a statement, Haley expressed the importance of calling out enemies and supporting alliances for global safety. She emphasized the critical work of Hudson in providing facts and solutions to ensure a secure, free, and prosperous future for America.
The post held by Haley is named after former Chairman Walter “Wally” Stern, who passed away in 2022.
Hudson’s Board of Trustees Chair, Sarah May Stern, praised Haley for her courageous and insightful policymaking abilities, highlighting her contribution to making Hudson a powerhouse policy organization.
Established in 1961 by Herman Kahn, Hudson Institute focuses on challenging conventional thinking and managing strategic transitions through interdisciplinary studies.
Haley follows in the footsteps of former Trump administration members William Barr, Mike Pompeo, and Elaine Chao in joining Hudson. She had previously received Hudson’s Global Leadership Award in 2018.
