Haley Attempts to Suppress Trump Vice President Speculation
Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley addressed rumors of potentially joining former President Donald Trump’s ticket if he wins the Republican nomination for president, clarifying that it is not happening.
On the eve of the South Carolina primary, Haley stated, “It’s done,” emphasizing that her campaign is not driven by vice-presidential aspirations, as reported by The Hill.
During an interview with Fox News, Haley reaffirmed her commitment to national issues, stating, “I wouldn’t be doing this if I was worried about a political future. … I’m doing this trying to wake up our country.”
Trump reiterated his stance against Haley as a potential running mate to South Carolina voters, stating they would “never” see her in that role, as reported by The Post and Courier .
Responding to a proposal for a unity ticket against Trump and President Joe Biden from Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn., Haley reaffirmed her Republican affiliation and focused on preventing Trump’s nomination for a potential general election loss.
Despite trailing Trump in South Carolina polls, Haley remains determined to stay in the race until Super Tuesday, advocating for fresh leadership and a younger, results-driven approach to governance.
