Hamas Refuses to Provide Evidence of Life to Newsmax, says Hassan-Nahoum

Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem Fleur Hassan-Nahoum stated to Newsmax that Hamas is resistant to the terms of the proposed ceasefire, as they are not fulfilling Israel’s requests.

“Hamas is not providing the names of the hostages to be released. They have refused to provide proof of life and medical assistance to our hostages,” she said during an interview on Newsmax’s “The Record with Greta Van Susteren.”

Earlier that day, the White House urged Hamas to accept the terms of the temporary ceasefire in Gaza, which includes a six-week pause in fighting and an exchange for some of the sick, elderly, and wounded hostages kidnapped by Hamas during their October 7 attack on southern Israel.

“We are dealing with an enemy who does not abide by any rules,” Hassan-Nahoum concluded.
