Jordan tells Newsmax: Democratic Party’s Candidate in November is Irrelevant

Due to President Joe Biden’s declining approval ratings, the negative direction of the country, and concerns about cognitive decline, there is speculation that Democrats may replace him at the top of the ticket for this year’s election.

However, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, chair of the House Judiciary Committee, told Newsmax on Wednesday that even if Biden remains in the race, it will not make a difference.

“I’ve heard the speculation about replacing [Biden] with [California Gov.] Gavin Newsom or someone else, and they’ll do it sometime around the convention or something,” Jordan told “The Chris Salcedo Show.” “That may happen, but I don’t think it matters because whether it’s Joe Biden or some other Democrat, the left’s policies are bad for the country.”

Jordan, who is involved in leading the House impeachment inquiry into allegations of influence peddling and alleged corruption involving Biden and his family members, said Americans have enough common sense to choose the right direction in November.

“This election is very simple. In three years and 11 days, we went from a secure border to no border. We went from safe streets to record crime, from $2 gas to $4 gas, from stable prices to record inflation, from strength in the Oval Office with President [Donald] Trump to weakness with Joe Biden. That’s why we have Hamas and Hezbollah doing terrible things to our best friend in the state of Israel… you name it. And, of course, these [federal] agencies have been turned against the American people.

“That’s the campaign. Who do you want in office? Which team are you on? The American people have common sense and they’re going to say, We want Trump. We want that team whether it’s Joe Biden, or if it’s Newsom or whoever they put up.”
