Meeting Report: Governor Kristi Noem and President Trump Convene in Florida

South Dakota Republican Gov. Kristi Noem, a potential vice president pick for Republican front-runner Donald Trump, recently met with the former president at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, as reported by the Daily Caller here.

Currently serving her second term as governor, Noem won re-election in November 2022 with 62% of the vote. Trump has confirmed that Noem is among those considered for his VP shortlist, which also includes Sen. Tim Scott, biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Rep. Byron Donalds, and former Hawaii Democrat Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.

Noem made headlines with her recent speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) outside Washington, D.C. She tied in a straw poll at the conference, ranking alongside Ramaswamy as top preferences for Trump’s running mate in November.

A Trump-Noem ticket was also favored in Wisconsin, according to a recent Kaplan Strategies poll. Noem led with a favorability rating of 39% in Wisconsin, with DeSantis at 35% and Ramaswamy at 28% in the survey.

Noem endorsed Trump in September and expressed willingness to consider being his running mate in an interview with Newsmax. She emphasized the need for a strong partner for Trump who understands business, employment, and family dynamics.
