Poll: Majority Believe Biden is Trying to Prosecute Trump to Prevent Future Wrongdoings
According to a new McLaughlin poll, many Americans believe that the country is turning into a virtual dictatorship, with a majority stating that President Joe Biden is attempting to put former President Donald Trump in jail to hinder his chances of re-election.
These concerns are reminiscent of the recent re-election of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who won by 88% after imprisoning his political rival, Alexei Navalny, and many of his supporters. Tragically, Navalny passed away while in prison.
There is a growing sentiment that Biden’s approach towards Trump mirrors Putin’s tactics.
A national poll conducted by McLaughlin revealed that 56% of voters believe that Biden is targeting Trump with the intention of preventing him from winning by incarcerating him. The poll, which involved 1,000 likely voters, was conducted between March 9 and March 14 and has a margin of error of +/-3.1% at a 95% confidence level.
Republicans, Independents, and even some Democratic groups share this opinion, with a majority agreeing that Biden is misusing the justice system for political gain.
Despite the negative perception of Biden’s actions, Trump currently leads Biden in a head-to-head poll for the presidency, showcasing a significant shift in support.
Other key findings from the survey include concerns about political bias in the indictments against Trump and a call for Biden to cease targeting Trump and instead let voters decide the electoral outcomes.
As the country faces various challenges, including economic issues and international crises, Biden’s campaign strategy of targeting Trump through legal means is being met with skepticism by voters.
Overall, the poll highlights a growing disillusionment with the current political landscape and a desire for transparency and fairness in the electoral process.
