Rep. Mast Tells Newsmax: Biden Manipulated the Military, Treating Them as ‘Pawns’ in Afghanistan Withdrawal
Rep. Brian Mast, a Republican from Florida, accused President Joe Biden of using the military as “pawns” during the deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021. Mast argued that by rushing the withdrawal for political reasons, Biden showed that he considered military personnel to be as disposable as the equipment left behind. He also criticized the administration for not adequately preparing for the withdrawal and for falsely claiming success in the operation. Mast called for accountability and answers from the administration, particularly for the families of the 13 service members killed in the suicide bomb attack at the Kabul airport.
