Senator Joni Ernst: Trump Gains Momentum
Senator Joni Ernst from Iowa stated on Friday that former President Donald Trump will benefit from swing-state voters being tired of suffering under Joe Biden’s policies.
She made these comments during an appearance on the “Hugh Hewitt Show.” When asked about Trump’s chances of defeating Biden in Wisconsin, a battleground state neighboring Iowa, Ernst expressed confidence in Trump’s momentum and popularity in swing states. She criticized Biden’s policies and leadership, particularly in domestic and foreign affairs.
Ernst mentioned that she believes current polls underestimate Trump’s support, as many of his voters may not participate in polls or answer truthfully. Hewitt also highlighted concerns about Biden’s health and leadership abilities, suggesting that key officials like Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin may be making crucial decisions.
In response, Ernst agreed that Biden may not be capable of effective leadership and cited instances of his inaccuracies in personal stories. She recounted a story about a friend who lost her husband in Afghanistan and criticized Biden for wrongly claiming to have lost his son in Iraq.
