Senator Rounds: McConnell Fully Capable of Effective Work
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell froze while speaking at a press conference last week, leading to concerns about his health and ability to serve. However, Senator Mike Rounds has stated that McConnell is “perfectly capable” of doing his work despite the freezing incidents. McConnell had previously suffered from a concussion earlier this year, which his physician warned could cause occasional lightheadedness. Rounds also expressed confidence in McConnell’s leadership and stated that McConnell understands what needs to be done. There have been suggestions that some people within the party may want McConnell to step down, but Rounds believes McConnell is good for the Republican party and will continue serving.
