Speaker Johnson Withdraws from Event Following Failed Negotiations
On Thursday, House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., decided to withdraw from his planned appearance at Turning Point USA’s America Fest in Phoenix following the failure of a bipartisan spending package he was instrumental in negotiating, which fell apart due to pressure from President-elect Donald Trump.
