They’re Afraid to Run Against Me: Trump Claims Ballot Ban Push Shows Opposition
At his Cedar Rapids, Iowa rally on Saturday, former President Donald Trump told the crowd that Democrats and anti-Trump forces are working to block him from the 2024 presidential ballot. He condemned the “fake news” narrative suggesting that his opponents want to run against him, despite having indicted him four times and fought to keep him off the ballot.
Trump also discussed his efforts to keep Iowa at the front of the Republican primary cycle and declared his intentions to win the Iowa caucuses and defeat President Joe Biden in the next election.
He criticized Biden and his administration, vowing to bring back the American dream and blaming them for the death of the dream during their time in office.
Trump also addressed his GOP rivals and took aim at Iowa GOP Gov. Kim Reynolds for endorsing Ron DeSantis after initially staying neutral in the caucuses.
