Trafalgar Poll Shows Trump Ahead of Biden, Leading Field by 3 Points
Former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden by 2.5 points, according to RealClearPolitics’ aggregated average of polls as of Tuesday.
The aggregated average of polls from RealClearPolitics shows Trump with a lead over Biden of 42.1% to 39.6%. Independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. follows at 10.4%, with Jill Stein from the Green Party and former Harvard professor Cornel West trailing behind Kennedy at 1.9%.
In addition, a poll from the Trafalgar Group also had Trump leading Biden by three points.
Peter Roff, Contributing Editor at Newsweek, commented on the state of polls, suggesting that they may be skewed and not accurately reflecting Trump’s lead.
Roff highlighted the disconnect between the elite’s perception and the views of middle America, drawing parallels to the surprise expressed by some in the aftermath of Richard Nixon’s win in the 1972 presidential election.
