President Donald Trump criticized the “Failing New York Times” for their March 20th article which alleged that Special Government Employee (SGE) Elon Musk was slated to be briefed on potential military strategies against China. Trump dismissed the report as “entirely false.”

“The Fake News is back at it, this time the Failing New York Times. They incorrectly reported that Elon Musk is heading to the Pentagon tomorrow for a briefing regarding a potential ‘war with China.’ How absurd! China won’t even be on the agenda. It’s disgraceful how the discredited media can fabricate such lies. Anyway, the story is completely false!!” Trump declared on Thursday.

Trump’s remarks were in reaction to a Thursday report by the New York Times, which stated that the U.S. Pentagon was set to brief Musk on military strategies should conflict arise with China.

The briefing was purportedly to include 20 to 30 slides outlining a possible plan in the event of a war between the U.S. and China, according to the outlet.

The Times raised concerns about the alleged briefing, noting Musk’s company, Tesla, has significant financial ties to China — while Musk is said to have developed relationships with various Chinese business leaders and officials over time, the report added.

According to the Times, two “anonymous” U.S. officials alleged the briefing was intended to focus on China.

Furthermore, President Trump later released a follow-up post, insisting that the outlet’s claimed sources were entirely “fabricated” and falsified.

“Their FAKE narrative for this story is that because Elon conducts some business in China, he is so conflicted that he would immediately relay information to top Chinese officials. RATINGS-CHALLENGED FAKE NEWS CNN latched onto this ludicrous and false narrative, which is likely libelous, and reported heavily on it,” Trump stated.

“Fortunately, no one was tuning in! Maggot Hagerman, the foolish ‘scammer’ who consistently writes about me for the Times, using anonymous sources that are not even real, is part of the deceit. She spearheaded the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, only to realize she had been misled and got everything wrong,” he continued.

“She owes me a totally discredited Pulitzer Prize for her inept reporting. The Fake News is the ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE…And Elon is NOT BEING BRIEFED ON ANYTHING CHINA BY THE DEPARTMENT OF WAR!!!”

Meanwhile, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed that he will meet with members of the administration at the Pentagon on Friday. However, Hegseth clarified that this is “NOT a meeting regarding ‘top secret China war plans.’ It’s an informal gathering focused on innovation, efficiencies & smarter production.”

“The New York Times is nothing but propaganda. I also anticipate the prosecution of those at the Pentagon who are leaking maliciously false information to the NYT. They will be identified.”
